Wellness for First Line Supervisors
$325 Per Student
This training is open to all first responder groups, including, but not limited to, law enforcement, fire/EMS, EMTs, dispatchers, and corrections. Additionally, retired first responders, as well as civilian peer support and mental health clinicians who are working in first responder wellness, are encouraged to attend.

Course Description:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
Define "Trauma Aware Supervision"
Identify signs and symptoms of suicide ideation
Understand how to talk with first responders who may be experiencing suicidal thoughts
Recognize methods to mitigate PTSD, dissociation, vicarious trauma, and burnout
Identify how to normalize seeking help for mental health issues
Understand how to educate family and community on the challenges first responders face and how they can help
Identify how to facilitate peer-to-peer support
Analyze normal versus abnormal responses to critical incidents
Identify the critical role of wellness and self-care in resilience
