These classes gives first responders and support teams a clear, evidence informed framework for stress, recovery, and long term resilience. Participants leave with daily practices, peer support skills, and tools for talking with teammates and families after critical incidents.
Identify unique stressors in first responder work
Explain differences between normal and abnormal responses to critical incidents
Understand mind body interactions in stress and recovery
Recognize the role of wellness, self care, and peer support within the five pillars of well being
What You Will Learn:
Recognize signs and symptoms of suicidal ideation
Practice stress reduction techniques including breathing, mindfulness, and brief meditation
Apply methods to mitigate PTSD, dissociation, vicarious trauma, and burnout
