Asst. Chief Lauren Edwards
Assistant Chief Lauren C. Edwards has over 20 years of law enforcement experience, spending her entire career with Henrico County Police Division (Virginia). She currently oversees their Patrol Bureau, but her previous assignments have given her experience in Patrol, Personnel, Training, Organized Crime/Narcotics, Internal Affairs, and Public Affairs.
Lauren has a passion for mentoring and teaching. She has been a certified Virginia DCJS General Instructor since 2005. Her specialties include leadership, cultural diversity, motivating employees, succession management, having difficult conversations, as well as personal and professional development.
Throughout her career, Lauren has been recognized with several honors, including the Certificate of Appreciation, the Life Saving Award, and the prestigious Chief’s Eagle Award.
Lauren is also the founder and host of the Lady Cop Laurenpodcast, where she encourages women to pursue careers in law enforcement and step into leadership roles.
